What do award winning musicians and an electric car engineer have in common? How about adding solar demonstrations, guided tours of nature sculptures, and an organic BBQ to the mix?
If this dynamic sounding line-up has piqued your interest, you will want to make time to come to Sackville’s second annual Green4Generations Festival on Sunday, September 21st.
“It’s a day that centered around positive actions that everyday families can make to be more environmentally friendly,” said event organizer, Sara Phelan.
“It’s also just going to be a lot of fun with music, movies, demonstrations, and great food.”
The downtown section of Bridge St., between Main and Lorne streets will be closed off to host the festival between 11am and 4:30pm. There will be non-stop music with some of Atlantic Canada’s best musicians, including New Brunswick’s own Isaac and Blewitt.
Festival-goers will also have the opportunity to take in environmentally themed movies, including Who Killed the Electic Car? David Swan, one of the movie’s experts, will be also be in attendance to provide real life electric car demonstrations.
Children will also find a variety of activities to enjoy, from crafts to games to the music of the Terrasonga children’s choir.
Other activities include an environmental trade fair, guided tours of the environmental sculpture exhibit, and an organic BBQ. There are also eco demonstrations and draws for great prizes.
There is no cost to attend the festival and everyone is welcome. Rain or shine!
